The Internet Business Models Part II
Premium services:
For me it is the business model I like best on the net, create a Web service that is so useful for users who are willing to pay a monthly or annual fee to use it to its fullest potential. This model complements very well with advertising through freemium options where the basic service pays off with advanced advertising and subscriptions to pay.
We talked a lot about this in the article I also want to have premium ideas so I will not elaborate any further, only commenting that I believe that eventually most of the web services end up having paid versions because even advanced users themselves and will seek willing to pay to have them available.
Software as service:
Is closely related to the premium services that we have seen, but there are important differences in this respect, by the objectives that the actual performance.
What I see is that the software as a service (SaaS) is to carry the network normally used applications installed on our computers and in many cases these applications are more targeted the business environment to the particular use. In addition, companies that offer software as a service also provide support and maintenance services to enterprise customers, so that the relationship and dependence between them is much higher.
Premium services on the other hand tend to be applications that take on all its meaning in the network and sometimes not even have an equivalent offline as well in most cases do not have customer support options.
As SaaS is primarily aimed at companies much easier all you have to do with the charge for the use of applications, companies are much more used to pay for certain tools to individual users.
Email marketing:
Forgotten by most of the projects that have recently emerged in the network, but we should consider more as it has always been a good way to supplement their advertising revenue on the web.
Sending newsletters by email, either with the contents of the website or specific content has been displaced by subscription via feed, especially by blogs, but there are still many people who prefer that you get your information email instead of having to surf the web for new content being created.
There are many companies that specialize in email marketing and companies working with advertising results is a common method. Finally, we should consider it as a perfect complement to e-commerce and stores can inform their customers about new products and offerings, only to maintain contact with the user and influence the brand awareness and can be quite useful.
