Mazda North America (MAU) reported March sales recorded 30,905 units, up 33.3 percent over the same period of 2010. While the market’s first three months of 2011 reached 64,559 units, up 15.4 percent.
Of the entire product line-up, Mazda 3 largest contributor with 12,467 units (up 9.8 percent from last year). Mazda2 being fuel-efficient only sold 2,500 units. Mazda5 is a great achievement diukit doubled from the previous month with a total of 3866 units, while the Mazda6 rose 15.3 percent to 4135 units.
For the category of SUVs, the CX-9 is also the best sales record with 3635 units (up 22.5 percent), followed by the CX-7 which jumped to 30.7 percent by 3407 units.
MAU is headquartered in Irvine, California had the task of overseeing sales, marketing, parts and customer service support of Mazda vehicles in Ameria States, Canada and Mexico with a total of 900 dealers.
